Flotillas
Whether you are looking to build your confidence on the water or simply want to explore new horizons with a great group of people, a Windworks Club Flotilla is the ultimate way to sail. It’s more than just a trip; it’s a shared adventure where the logistics are handled, and the focus is entirely on the experience.
Here is why our members choose to sail with the flotilla:
Why Join a Windworks Flotilla?
1. Adventure with a Safety Net Explore unfamiliar waters—from the hidden coves of the San Juan Islands to the quiet bays of Case Inlet—with the peace of mind that comes from sailing in a group. Our boats are helmed by experienced captains and local experts who are there to provide support, navigation advice, and mechanical assistance if needed.
2. The "Social Regatta" Experience There is a unique magic to a fleet of Windworks boats anchored together. Whether it’s a sunset beach BBQ, a group hike on a remote island, or the friendly competition of a cross-channel reach, the camaraderie of the flotilla turns strangers into lifelong friends.
3. Stress-Free Planning We handle the heavy lifting. From securing slip reservations and coordinating itineraries to organizing group dinners and activities, we take the "work" out of "Windworks" so you can focus on the wind and the waves.

Flotilla Options
Spring Tides
A four-day odyssey that ventures to the San Juan Islands during late April or early May when the Earth, Moon and Sun are aligned. This combined gravitational pull of the Sun and the Moon creates the greatest difference between high and low tides. The name refers to the concept of the water “springing forth.”
Mother Nature's forces creates the backdrop for one of the best flotilla events of the year! The Spring Tides flotilla is a four-day sojourn to all points north, deep into the San Juans and pokes our bowsprits to the edge of our northern border. The trip is different every year and is our biggest group adventure. Every boat is assigned an experienced club skipper that pays special attention to safety and to exploring the enchanting islands of the San Juans.
Southern Crossing
A four-day journey that explores the islands, coves and inlets of South Puget Sound that takes place in mid-September. Recent trips have included circumnavigation of Vashon Island and port visits to Bremerton or exciting trips under the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and finding quiet anchorages in Case Inlet or near Raft Island. The South Puget Sound is some of the most underrated cruising grounds in the region.
Sound Escapes
One or two-night mini trips to closer destinations such as Winslow, Langely, Poulsbo, Blake Island, Gig Harbor, Kingston, Port Ludlow and Everett. These events usually include a theme and are a great way to explore what’s in your own backyard while gaining experience and confidence cruising with others.
