Intro to Sailing

Your First Step onto the Water

Ever wanted to sail but didn't know where to start? We get it—stepping onto a boat for the first time can feel like a leap of faith. That’s why our Intro to Sailing experience is designed specifically for the “curious but cautious” and requires absolutely no prior sailing experience

What to Expect

In this comprehensive 3-hour session, our expert instructors at Windworks will show you the lines in a calm, supportive environment. No pressure, no jargon—just you, the wind, and a whole new perspective.

What to Bring

  • Proper Footwear: Wear closed-toe shoes with non-marking soles (sneakers are perfect). Please, no flip-flops or heels!
  • Layered Clothing: It’s often cooler on the water than on land. Bring a light, wind-resistant jacket or fleece.
  • Sun Protection: Reflection off the water is strong. Bring sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, and a hat (with a clip).
  • Hydration: Bring a reusable water bottle to stay refreshed.

Why Choose Windworks

  • Expert Instruction: Learn from seasoned sailors who love teaching as much as they love the sea
  • Safe Learning: We simplify the complex so you can focus on the joy of the experience
  • New Perspective: Discover the thrill of powering a vessel using nothing but the strength of the wind
