Elliott Bay Downtown Racing Series
Join the Downtown Sailing Series at Elliott Bay Marina!
Race or cruise with dozens of boats of every size as they set sail from Elliott Bay Marina, cross the Seattle skyline and run back.
Windworks will be entering its two Catalina 275 racing boats - The Magic Wind and the Wicked Wind - every Thursday night during the summer racing season.
Each boat will carry up to a crew of six and one captain. Windworks members will meet the boats at the Elliot Bay Marina and they will finish at Elliott Bay - where they can enjoy the food, beverages, live music and 300 other sailors.
Members can buy one seat or fill the entire boat with their friends - from the club or outside the club.
Founded in 2004 as a vehicle to get Seattle boaters out on their boats, the Downtown Sailing Series is a casual weekly summer regatta showcasing the sport of sailing to the citizens of Seattle. Popular with local boating enthusiasts, the post-regatta party has taken on a life of its own as a great venue for building a sense of community. The goal of the Downtown Sailing Series is to sharpen sailing skills through a thoughtful, low-pressure teaching environment that emphasizes social interaction and fun!
Windworks will participate in all 10 events beginning in early June and ending in mid-August. Dates TBD
