Starting with the Basic Keelboat course was an excellent choice; it’s highly educational. I passed my exam on the first try, feeling about 80% confident in my abilities to skipper the boat. I was in the market for a new 32′ sailboat this fall. I checked all the local Seattle dealers, and they had no inventory, only boats on order with no definite delivery date. I did some research and found out I liked the Catalina models, made in America. I made an appointment with Windworks Yacht sales, Mark Evans. I made a deal with them and ordered a new 315 to be delivered in 2023. In February I received a call from Mark at Windworks and he had a less than one year old 315 available, it is like new. It was loaded with extras and after an inspection of the boat and test sail I made an offer. The purchase was flawless and Windworks returned the deposit on the new boat before the closing of the used 315.Their honest approach to take care of the customer and get me a boat a year earlier was just honest business, they saved me thousands of dollars.
