Sailing Vacations

Explore the sailing lifestyle with an unforgettable sailing vacation. Spend a day, two days, or a week aboard your own crewed yacht. The boat and the destinations are yours to choose. No sailing experience is required. We supply your licensed, qualified skipper to take care of the sailing while you enjoy the serenity of being under sail. All of our skipper/instructors are on our staff, are very well known to us, and have logged thousands of hours under our employ with our charter guests and students. During your trip, you may spend some time learning more about sailing in an informal or formal format if you‘d like.

The amazing scenery, mountain backdrops, anchorages and quaint harbor villages are numerous and unique. Whether you are looking for quiet seclusion in a wooded cove, or small harbor town dining and shopping, going by boat is a great way to enjoy the treasures of the Pacific Northwest.

GENERAL TIPS AND INFORMATION

If you have not boated before, or have little experience on boats, it is worth a call to our office to find out more about what life aboard a nice cruising boat is like. There are no "stupid questions", and we are eager to answer your concerns, and to educate you about the experience. In general, the larger cruising boats can sleep up to six people in three separate cabins. These vessels have central heating systems like you have at home, as well as hot and cold running water, fully enclosed private bathrooms and showers, fully equipped kitchens (galleys) with gas stove, oven and icebox. Most people adapt very quickly to being aboard and enjoy being underway (sailing). Provisioning (food) is shopped and paid for separately by the charter party, and is usually done by the charter party the fist day of arrival (after meeting your skipper and getting introduced to the boat). It is customary for the charter party to provide provisions for the skipper as well as their own party. During the trip, the skipper is in charge of the safety and operation of the boat, and will be a part of the daily life aboard the boat in assisting to prepare some of the meals and doing some of the cleaning and day-to-day chores as part of your overall crew. The skipper is not hired as a personal chef or cabin steward. If you would like to hire a mate, in addition to the captain, as cook, please inquire.

COSTS

The cost depends on the boat you choose and the time of year that you would like to sail. Please call for quotes, suggested itineraries and ideas! Example: A four day, summer mid-week sail from a Monday (noon) to Friday (noon) for a party of six on a 40 foot + cruising sailboat with skipper would be approximately $3250 plus skipper gratuity, provisions, running expenses (fuel and moorage fees), and taxes. Including a generous food budget, the total would be approx $ 4400, or about $180 per day, per person. A great vacation value and an experience of a lifetime!
